In this unique episode of the podcast, Xan & Gretta review the first episode of " The Mandalorian" which was directed by dave filoni, written by Jon Favreau (who is also the show runner) and starring Pedro Pascal, Carl Weathers, Werner Herzog, Omid Abtahi, Nick Nolte and guest starring Taika Waititi
They discuss the pilot episode, geek out on all the Star Wars easter eggs and state what they believe the show needs to do to continue being a success.
 

 On the morning of 18 July 2019  at around 10:30 a.m. JST (09:30 pm  EST the 17th), an arson attack occurred at the Kyoto Animation Studio One in the Fushimi Ward of Kyoto. Over 75 people were estimated to be in the building and at least half were killed in this horrible incident.
Kyoto Animation is a Japanese animation studio and a light novel publisher located in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. It was established in 1981 by former Mushi Pro staff. Presided by Hideaki Hatta, the company is also affiliated with studio Animation Do. As of 2015, Kyoto Animation has produced 21 anime series and numerous films. Unlike most animation studios, Kyoto Animation's animators are salaried employees rather than freelance workers. Therefore, Kyoto Animation animators are able to focus more on the quality of each frame rather than on meeting frame production quotas."  TQuoted directly from wikipedia
The individual who caused this (we shall not use their name) thought he was being plagurised by the anime studio and was swiftly captured by police outside the studio.

Greetings Faithful Listeners!  Xan and the many other podcast hosts from Spiraken Review Podcasts have returned from our slight Hiatus energized and revitalized.
 So Since it has been a while, Firstly, we have not podfaded or disappeared. We are still here, still kicking and ready to review Movies, Manga, Video Games, Board Games, Cons and many other cool things.
 
As for other News, Well we cover why we took the hiatus and have not updated the website since Otakon and give you some updates into our lives including the Fact that Xan and Gretta Got married on September 21st (Congratulations to us).
